“proving that performance and sustainability can go hand in hand“ - Traid

One of the most exciting projects I worked on as a Marketing and Promotion student was the launch collaboration between Sokito and TRAID. Our university was exclusively invited to produce the launch video content, which made the opportunity feel both prestigious and highly pressurised. Knowing that we were the only student team trusted to capture such an important event gave me a strong sense of responsibility and motivated me to perform at a professional standard.

As the lead videographer, I worked closely with my teammates to ensure we visually communicated the purpose and story behind the collaboration. This involved capturing the products, the atmosphere of the event, and the key messages about sustainability and ethical fashion that connected both brands. The project was especially memorable because we had the opportunity to film former professional footballer David Wheeler as he toured the TRAID Alperton site, explaining how donated clothing is sorted and reused.

Although there was a lot of pressure to deliver high-quality footage, the experience was incredibly rewarding. It gave me practical insight into working on a real client brief, managing expectations, and producing content that supported a meaningful campaign. Most importantly, it showed me how marketing and videography can be used to tell compelling stories and promote values such as sustainability, making the project both professionally valuable and personally inspiring.
